About Events
Our events are built around the idea that culture works best in an atmosphere where people feel relaxed, attentive and genuinely involved.

We organise painting workshops, sketching sessions, art talk brunches and small cultural gatherings where artistic practice and conversation happen naturally alongside one another. Some visitors come to learn technical skills, others for discussion, observation or simply the experience of spending time around art and thoughtful people.

We are interested in creating a space that avoids both academic coldness and superficial entertainment. Serious artistic subjects can be approached openly and without pretension when the environment feels human and welcoming.

Alongside regular workshops and gatherings, we also organise a five-day travelling art retreat — a slower and more immersive format built around painting, landscape, conversation and shared cultural experience.

All events begginer friendly. No skills or exhperience requiered.

Sketching over a Dinner
Drawing workshop
£
20
Sketching is a whole world.
A personal visual diary, an endless space for experimentation, and one of the most effective ways to sharpen your drawing skills.
In this session, we’ll meet in a café in central Reading (Nero or Black Sheep, depending on availability — all cafés are located next to each other). Participants will be informed of the exact location in advance. Using your own drink as a subject, we’ll sketch a cup on the table while learning the fundamentals of perspective, proportion and observation.
Each meeting is guided by a professional artist, who will offer thoughtful advice and gentle direction to help you see more clearly and draw with confidence. Expect a calm, social atmosphere, focused practice, and the pleasure of filling your sketchbook with something meaningful — and imperfect.
Bring your own sketchbook. Drawing materials will be provided.

3 June, 18:00-20:00

Oil Painting Classes
Painting workshop
£

IIn this session we will paint a pastoral landscape featuring a country road crossing an open field, a small house on the horizon, and grazing cattle in the distance. This composition allows us to explore spatial depth, atmospheric perspective, and the rhythm of landscape elements.
We will focus on how to organise the landscape in layers — foreground, middle distance and horizon — and how colour and light help create a sense of openness and calm typical of pastoral scenery.
The class is suitable for beginners as well as returning students. Participants will receive step-by-step guidance and individual feedback from professional artist Andrey Novikov, helping you develop confidence with oil paint and landscape composition.
Duration: 2,5 hours
All materials are included.
Full refund available up to 24 hours before the session.
